About NEST Environmental Services and the Principals

NEST Environmental Services started as a small business providing internet services to small businesses, in 1993 as a part of National Environmental Service and Technology. As we responded to our client's emerging environmental needs, we shifted in a few short years to compliance services for storm water pollution prevention, hazardous material handling, Title V air pollution monitoring programs, and Environmental Site Assessments, Phase I (ESAs). We developed a user friendly and compliant storm water monitoring program, put together a group monitoring program for vehicle dismantlers in California and approved by the State Water Board, and have continued to expand through client referrals as a result of providing responsible yet friendly service to clients.

Fred

Mr. Fred Martin, MS Physics, REA I #04775

Fred is the President and Founder of NEST Environmental Services. He has a long career in systems engineering and environmental advocacy. He was a co-founder of Californians Against Waste which ultimately developed our legislation for beverage containers recycling program. In 1998 he was rewarded for career work being selected as a Congressional Fellow in Washington, D.C. Mr. Martin has performed numerous Phase I ESA's for a wide variety of commercial and industrial properties. He has written over 200 Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, and Hazardous Material Business Plans (HMBP/HMMP) for small and medium size businesses. Fred is the principal contact for ESAs.

Mr. Donald C. Reh, BS Engineering, USMA, REA-I #07344

Don is NEST's Vice President of Client Services and has been with the company for 10 years. Mr. Reh has performed over 100 site assessments and audits, written more than 100 Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Hazardous Material Business Plans (HMBP/HMMP), and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) for small and medium sized businesses. Don writes client SWPPPs, and HMMPs, identifies site specific Best Management Practices (BMP), attends trade shows and industry association meetings.

Mr. Lawrence "Laurie" Mattison

Laurie is NESTS's Vice President for Marketing and has been with NEST Environmental Services for 11 years. Mr. Mattison has preformed numerous site assessments for storm water pollution prevention plans and for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA). This work has included a wide variety of small and medium sized businesses throughout California. Laurie provides the primary lead in same day responses to client communications via the NEST's 24/7 fax and 800 telephones lines. He recruits new clients, provides follow-up activities with established clients. He represents NEST at various trade shows and industry associations. He attends trade shows and seeks out new best conventional and available technology products as BMPs for NEST's clients.
